At the aptly named Bob Nelson Theater, doors are set to open to audience members on June 28. Nelson’s comedy show promises to bring a family-friendly comedy show in Pigeon Forge like never seen before.

Earlier this week, developers for the Island in Pigeon Forge announced June 21 as the grand opening of the first phase for the attraction in Pigeon Forge. Promising to be a one-stop-shop for your family’s Smoky Mountain entertainment, the Island in Pigeon Forge will be home to many popular restaurants and retail shops including Timberwood Grill, Auntie Anne’s, Mellow Mushroom and The Island Trading Post.

The amusement park is very family oriented, and has a variety of rides, shops, shops, and dinning options for the entire family from the youngest to the oldest. If you can visit in spring or fall, before or after schools are out for the summer, there will be less crowds.
