As the temperatures begin to rise across the Smoky Mountains, you will probably be looking for ways to beat the heat. They have a ton of thrilling water slides for guests of all ages, including the Big Bear Plunge. For those who are looking for a relaxing way to cool off this summer, be sure to take a float along the Downbound Float Trip lazy river. If you have young children that aren’t old enough to ride the slides, they can still have some fun in the sun thanks to two wonderful kiddie areas. Little Creek Falls is an amazing splash pad for babies and tots that features dozens of water shooters and no standing water, ensuring young visitors stay safe!

3. Spend the Day on the River

There are many ways to stay cool in the Smokies this summer, including with a variety of river activities. One of the most popular water attractions in the Smoky Mountains is white water rafting. The Sevierville City Park is home to the Family Aquatic Center, which has a few fun water attractions for children. There is a fully renovated 25 meter outdoor swimming pool, to go along with 2 fun slides and a splash pad for children. This is a great place for families to spend a few hours to escape the summer heat! The park also has a convenient concession stand nearby where you can purchase a variety of snacks and drinks. Admission to the Family Aquatic Center is fairly priced, as adult tickets are just $5 and children can get in for $4. Some of the other features of the city park include playgrounds for kids, tennis and basketball courts, and picnic shelters.
