Contractors working on a facelift in downtown Sevierville came upon something they didn’t expect — Smoky Mountain railroad tracks! The workers weren’t sure what they had dug up, but our Sevier County historian knew right away. The railroad tracks were 110 years old and had been paved over when the rail service ended.
