Smoky Mountain Tunes & Tales Returning This April

Showcasing the rich musical heritage of the Smoky Mountains, talented performers from all across the area invite families and guests to join them in celebrating the return of spring in the Smokies.

What to Expect

Smoky Mountain Tunes & Tales is an interactive, family-friendly, event centered around the unique culture of the Smoky Mountains. Families and visitors to the Gatlinburg event should expect to experience a fun-filled evening that will create lots of long-lasting memories.

Who Will Be There?

Storytellers and musicians from all across the Smoky Mountains travel to downtown Gatlinburg for this special event. Excited to share with guests their talents, the Smoky Mountain Tunes & Tales is definitely a Gatlinburg event that you and your family will not want to miss! Authentic cloggers and Smoky Mountain artisans  will also be present some evenings. Zeno, the Gatlinburg Bear, and official ambassador to the city, will also be making a special appearance.

The Smoky Mountain Tunes & Tales event in Gatlinburg has brought families tons of long-lasting memories over the past nine years. To honor these memories, here is a video from Tunes & Tales from 2009.

Location and Cost

The Smoky Mountain Tunes & Tales is held throughout downtown Gatlinburg. Performers and musicians typically begin their shows around 6 p.m. in the center of town, and performances end around 11 p.m. During April and May, the event will only be held on Fridays and Saturday. However, beginning June 6,  the Gatlinburg event will be extended to every night of the week until August. Admission is free.

Smoky Mountain Winter Tunes and TalesWinter Tunes & Tales

In case you don’t get enough Smoky Mountain music this spring, downtown Gatlinburg also hosts a winter version of this exciting event. The Gatlinburg Winter Magic Tunes & Tales is held the weeks leading up to Christmas, and showcases an array of Victorian-era styled carolers and musicians.
