Do You Know Where to Hear the Sweetest Sounds of the Smoky Mountains?

We know exactly where to find the sweetest sounds of the Smokies! In fact, weekends in the Smoky Mountains have never sounded so good. If you’re looking to make winter memories in the Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg has a great event that’s perfect for the entire family! Gatlinburg’s Winter Magic Tunes and Tales is a holiday-themed version of the traditional Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales event. What’s even better? It’s happening on the Parkway every Friday and Saturday night between Thanksgiving and Christmas! Here’s everything you need to know:

What time can I see the performers?

Many performers open the show at 5 p.m. in The Village in Gatlinburg. If you can’t catch the show there, you can find them at Baskins Square around 5:30 p.m. Some of the performers can be found wandering along the Parkway while others will have staged areas. The closing performance occurs at 8:45 p.m. at Reagan Terrace Mall.

Who is performing at the Gatlinburg Winter Magic Tunes and Tales?

There are a variety of performers for the event, including musicians and singers. The acapella carolers are a popular performance, costumed in early 1900s Appalachian outfits. There are storytellers, actors and talented children who will perform throughout the evening.

Will there be any special appearances at the Gatlinburg Winter Magic event?

Of course! We don’t want to spoil the excitement, but there will be 3-4 elves appearing, as well as Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Ms.Claus will make a special appearance on some nights, too!

As well as the street performances, Gatlinburg shines bright with LED light displays throughout the city. Now you can enjoy the beautiful sounds of the Smoky Mountains while your entire family is surrounded by sparkling lights.
