They have seasonal and special one-batch-only wines as well as options that are available all year round. Whether you like dry, sweet, or something in the middle, you can find a wine to love! Take a look at three of our favorites:

  • 1802: a clean and dry pinot noir with notes of dry cherry, fig, and black currant and aromas of dark cherry, cedar, and tobacco.
  • Martha Jane Rose: a semi-sweet blend of red and white Muscadine.
  • Baskins Creek Blanc: a semi-sweet blend for Reisling lovers with notes of green apple and citrus and lovely floral aromas.

Other wines we know you’ll want to try include Elkmont, a pure loganberry wine, Wiley Oakley, a sweet concord red with a subtle blueberry finish, and Mountain Paradise, a bubbly with rich pear, peach, and apricot highlights with a crisp, sweet finish.

They provide a unique experience.

Sugarland Cellars checks all the boxes– you can tour the facility where the wine is made, enjoy a free wine tasting, and purchase wines to have during your stay in a Smoky Mountain cabin as well as to take home and share with friends and family. Their beautiful facility also features local food and gift items, apparel, and lounge areas!

They offer free tours and tastings.

This is one of the best wineries in Gatlinburg because not only are they open 7 days a week, but they also offer free tastings and tours! You can take a complimentary tour of their winemaking facility on Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The tours start every half hour, and groups of 10 or more are asked to call ahead.

Their wine labels include art from a local artist.

Another thing that sets Sugarland Cellars apart is the attention to detail and special touches added to their bottles. Some of their seasonal and limited-batch bottles include artwork from Robert A. Tino, a local artist you’ll definitely want to check out. These bottles are exquisite and contribute to this winery’s unique storytelling ability.
