Your Guide to Dollywood’s Splash Country and Dollywood in 2020

Your favorite theme park and water park are open for the 2020 season! There are a number of changes this year at both Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country, and we’re here to help you navigate through them all. Here is your guide to Dollywood’s Splash Country and Dollywood in 2020:

What’s New at Dollywood?

Dollywood opened on June 15 for season passholders and June 17 to all guests. While the world-class theme park is still the same place you know and love, there are a couple new changes throughout the park to protect the safety of both guests and staff. We’ve made a list of all the new changes so you know what to expect when you visit!

New operating hours for August and September.

Beginning the second week of August and running through September, Dollywood theme park will be closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Dollywood’s Splash Country will be closed on select days as well, and the waterpark will close for the season after Labor Day. To view up-to-date operating hours for both parks, take a look at the Dollywood calendar.

Reservations are no longer required as of July 14.

This was so the attraction could manage attendance capacity in the park. Dollywood announced on Tuesday, July 14 that they were lifting the reservation requirement. Based on strong guest satisfaction and positive guest reviews, Dollywood is no longer requiring guests or passholders to make reservations prior to their visit. Daily capacity will be limited.

In addition, one-day and multi-day tickets are valid for a 5-day window following the original selected date. A paid ticket guarantees access to Dollywood and/or Dollywood’s Splash Country. However, to maintain social distancing, passholders are still required to make reservations at Dollywood’s Splash Country.

You can get your Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country tickets online.

Everyday Heroes Appreciation Days

Dollywood announced Everyday Heroes Appreciation Days, which are designed to recognize the hard work of essential workers. This new campaign allows frontline workers, first responders, public employees and military who serve our country and communities the opportunity to buy a one-day Dollywood admission ticket online for just $39 plus tax. The online offer is can be purchased for a limited time and is available for use through Sept. 21.Employees must use a special redemption code from their employer to complete the transaction. Employees who are interested should encourage their employers to fill out an online form to request the redemption code for their company.

Everyone Pays Kids Price Promotion

From now through September 21, anyone who purchases a regular one-day admission online can do so at a child’s ticket price! As part of the promotion, each ticket purchased includes a refillable drink mug at Dollywood! The mug gets you unlimited $0.99 refills through Jan. 2, 2021.

This includes while eating or drinking, when taking photos, and on select rides at the park. There are also mask free break zones at the park where you can remove your face covering while keeping 6 feet apart from other guests.

Temperature screenings/health assessments at entrance.

When you arrive at Dollywood, you’ll have your temperature screened before you enter the park. Anyone with a temperature of 100.40 or above will not be permitted entry, along with anyone who arrived with that person. Guests will also be given a four question health assessment prior to entry.

Physical distancing measures.

Dollywood asks that all guests keep a distance of 6 feef apart from guests who aren’t in their party. There are signs and floor graphic reminders throughout the attraction.

Additional sanitation measures.

Dollywood has also added extra sanitation measures in the park. There are portable hand-washing stations so guests can wash hands frequently, and a significant number of hand-sanitizing stations in public areas and other high traffic locations. In addition, there is an increased frequency of cleaning high-touch areas and seating, like railings, queue areas, restaurant seating and more.
