With the kids back in school, it’s time the parents took a day off for some fun! Spending a fun day with your partner after a summer of taking care of the kids seems like just the thing you need, and what better place to go than the Smokies? 1. Grab Breakfast at The Old Mill

Make sure you start your day off right and order one of their mouth watering options from the breakfast menu. Try any of their hot-off-the-griddle pancakes or french toast, perfectly cooked omelettes or homemade biscuits. 2. Try Out a Power Coaster

Just because the kids are in school doesn’t mean the parents can’t have fun! After you’ve tried out the Power Coaster, try your hand at axe throwing or race your partner down the 500-foot Tubing Hill! Hannah’s Kitchen. Here, you’ll find Hand Cut and Hawaiian Ribeyes that are to die for, as well as Slow Cooked St. Louis Ribs and the Tennessee T-Rex Grilled Ribeye.

5. End the Night with a Drink

Cap off your parent’s day out with a drink fit for mom and dad! Located at The Island in Pigeon Forge, you’ll find the Ole Smoky Moonshine Barn. Sample from Appalachian ‘shine made right in the Smoky Mountains. We recommend trying flavors such as Blackberry, Apple Pie, and White Lightnin’. They also offer moonshine cherries, pickles, pineapple and peaches!
