Before you begin your day exploring downtown, it is important to start with a hearty breakfast! If you find yourself downtown in the morning, make sure to stop into the Pancake Pantry! For over 60 years, the Pancake Pantry has been flipping flapjacks and scrambling eggs for Gatlinburg visitors and locals alike. Check out their extensive pancake and crepes menu which features specialties like Silver Dollar Pancakes and Austrian Apple-Walnut Crepes. They also offer waffles, eggs, omelettes and more.
2. Explore the Shops in The Village
A trip to downtown Gatlinburg wouldn’t be complete without a little bit of shopping! Make sure you swing through The Village for over 27 unique boutiques, clothiers, eateries, galleries and more. Start with an order of Table Side Guacamole for the table and watch as your server makes delicious guac right in front of you. Then try one of their world famous fajitas, with grilled chicken, steak, shrimp or veggies. We also recommend one of their mesquite grilled specialties like the Carne Asada or Pollo Ala Plancha. After you’ve eaten, take a ride on the mechanical donkey and see if you can hang on!
4. Visit the Gatlinburg Axe House
