Dollywood is back at it again with even more rides and shows to announce for the 2017 season. For the upcoming season, you can expect at least 2 new rides to Dollywood, a new ride at Dollywood’s Splash Country, an addition to their fall festival and a brand new show!
Drop Line at Dollywood
This ride is a 200-foot tall free-fall ride that towers over Timber Canyon. It will take riders about 20 stories into the air where you will be able to see an overlook of the park before quickly dropping back down to the ground.
Timber Tower was a similar ride that was previously at Dollywood, but after much technical difficulty, the ride was permanently closed. This new ride, Drop Line, is taking its place in the same area of the park.
Whistle Punk Chaser at Dollywood
Dollywood is adding another junior coaster in 2017 – Whistle Punk Chaser. The ride is going to include lots of twists and turns for younger riders. The logging-themed ride will prepare kids for the larger, wooden coaster, Thunderhead.
TailSpin Racer at Dollywood’s Splash Country
Dollywood’s Splash Country will be getting a new ride, too! The TailSpin Chaser is a 5-story water slide that is expected to have the best view of the park.
New Show at Dollywood: “enra”
For the 2017 season, 2 new shows will make their way to the Dollywood theme park. The first is a Tokyo-based dance company, enra, who was featured on America’s Got Talent in 2015. The group is known for their high-energy, multi-media dance, light and video fusion show. Watch the video below to get an idea of what to expect at the show:
The Great Pumpkin LumiNights Event
The spectacular Great Pumpkin LumiNights event is also coming to Dollywood. As part of the October fall festival celebration, the park will open during the evening to showcase the fall pumpkin illumination.
