There is something about a slide and swings that cause kids to jump with excitement. Luckily, there are plenty of places similar to your neighborhood park all throughout the Smokies. Here are 6 playground attractions in the Smoky Mountains for kids to enjoy:
1. Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snowpark
While Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snowpark is mostly known for its incredible tubing hill and thrilling laser gun coaster, they also have a wonderful two-story playground for kids. The playground features all sorts of fun activities built into one, such as a net bridge and a twisting slide that is sure to have any child laughing in delight. After they are done exploring the playground, be sure to head over to the tubing hill for a 90-minute session of thrills as you fly down the hill and ride back up on the magic conveyor to do it all again!
2. Mynatt Park
Mynatt Park is located near the heart of downtown Gatlinburg, and it provides a fun place for your family to enjoy the great outdoors. The park features an amazing playground for kids, with all sorts of fun climbing equipment and slides. In addition, there are a number of other activities that your family can all enjoy together, such as tennis courts, a fishing stream, and an array of wonderful walking trails. For those who are looking for a park with a little something for everyone, Mills Park might be your best option! While the playground is absolutely remarkable, there are also some things at this park that the adults will enjoy as well! Some of the many features include a 9-hole disk golf course, a 400-meter track, horseshoes, outdoor exercise equipment, walking trails, and so much more! This is the type of place you can bring the entire group to enjoy a day together outdoors. There are also numerous picnic tables throughout the premises that can be used to enjoy a lovely meal with your family! If you are visiting the Smokies during the summer months, you might think it is too warm to have fun at the playground. Dollywood’s Splash Country is home to a wonderful playground activity known as the Bear Mountain Fire Tower. This interactive experience has everything your kid needs to stay cool, including a giant bucket that rains down 1,000 gallons of water! 6. Anakeesta
When you make the trip to Anakeesta in Gatlinburg, you know there is going to be excitement around every corner. Think of this as a treehouse you might have had growing up, except a little more advanced. Kids will love making their way through the different obstacles, such as rope bridges, tube nets, and climbing walls.
