Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge Has Huge Success in First 3 Months
The Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge has only been open since the ribbon-cutting in March 2016. It was expected that it would do well, but the youth baseball complex has done even better than expected in its first 3 months!
From mid-March through the third week of June, the Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge has hosted 12 tournaments that brought over 400 teams from over 23 states and Canada! In addition to the teams, they brought along their friends and family, so we’ve welcomed at least 18,000+ visitors to the area, just from the teams participating at the baseball tournaments.
Of those teams, many have traveled quite a distance to be here. Teams have traveled from all over, including Alaska, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Texas and Canada.
About the Ripken Experience Pigeon Forge
The Ripken Experience Pigeon Forge baseball park is the area’s newest youth sports complex dedicated to baseball tournaments. The Ripken Experience is made up of 6, lighted, synthetic turf fields which all replicate a well-known field, like Camden Yards (Baltimore, MD). The Pigeon Forge baseball park features all of the big-league amenities for youth players!
Cal Ripken Jr. is a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame and he’s the founder of Ripken Baseball. He was at the ribbon cutting of the Ripken Experience Pigeon Forge in March, and there is a 10 year contract with Ripken Baseball to manage the Pigeon Forge facility.
We expected the Ripken Experience to do well, but it’s growth has been exceptional! It’s bringing new people to the area from all around the country.
