What is The Play District?
The Play District in Pigeon Forge is scheduled to open in the summer of 2027 at 2046 Parkway, where Smoky Mountain Opry used to be located. This new 50,000 square-foot indoor entertainment center is a joint venture between Hasbro, Safe Harbor Development, and Kingsmen Xperience. The Play District will feature a trio of headline attractions in one big place open year-round.
Three Hasbro Attractions in One Pigeon Forge Destination

Here are the major attractions guests can expect at The Play District.
NERF Action Xperience
If your family loves some competition, this one’s for you. NERF Action Xperience, which was originally planned to open in 2025 but postponed due to delays, will have everything from obstacle courses to head-to-head challenges, arcade games, and laser tag, all designed around the iconic NERF brand. There will even be a one-of-a-kind NERF ride!
Peppa Pig Playtime
If you have younger kids, Peppa Pig Playtime, inspired by the popular preschool series, is an absolute must! This spot gives the little ones their own Peppa Pig world to explore. They can wander through scenes from Peppa’s universe, dive into interactive fun, and let their imaginations take over.
Planet Playskool
A colorful, hands-on world inspired by Hasbro classics (Play-Doh, Transformers, PJ Masks, and Mouse Trap) awaits at Planet Playskool! There’s a big focus on creativity and sensory experiences here, so you can count on all kinds of opportunities to make, build, and explore together as a family.
More Than Just Attractions
NERF Action Xperience, Peppa Pig Playtime, and Planet Playskool are just the nuts and bolts of what will make The Play District a must-visit spot for families. You’ll also find spaces for birthday parties, group and team-building events, and outings for school groups and camps. There will be food and drinks available on-site, plus shops with exclusive merchandise. With its prime spot on the Parkway, The Play District will be easy to visit and fit into your vacation plans, plus a great option for rainy days. The project has an initial price tag of $50 million.
