Life Jackets in Titanic Museum

Out of the 3,000 life jackets that were from the RMS Titanic, only 12 are known to still exist today. Of those 12, 6 of them are a part of a new exhibit at the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge. This is the largest collection of the remaining life jackets, and it’s the first time 6 of the life jackets have been together since the ship sank more than 100 years ago! In a press release about the world-exclusive exhibit, the museum mentioned that the life jackets “gave hope to the helpless,” and they are proud to bring this exhibit to the millions of Titanic followers. The life jackets are made of hard cork and canvas, which was dangerous for many who were forced to jump in the water. If you love following the story of the Titanic, then you don’t want to miss the chance to visit this exhibit. The life jackets will be on display from July 1 through December of 2019.
