TripAdvisor Names Dollywood a Top 10 Amusement Park in the World
Is Dollywood better than Disneyland? According to TripAdvisor it is — and we agree! In its list of top 10 amusement parks in the United States, our favorite Smoky Mountain theme park came in spot number 6, right ahead of Disneyland! That wasn’t its only accomplishment, though. Dollywood was named the 8th best amusement park in the world! We’ve got all the details on this recognition below.
Dollywood Better Than Disneyland
TripAdvisor released its rankings for the top 10 U.S. amusement parks, and Dollywood took the 6th spot on the list. It was right ahead of Disneyland in California and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando. TripAdvisor users like Dollywood because it’s close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and it has friendly employees, thrilling rides, entertainment and delicious food. Dollywood 8th Best Amusement Park Worldwide
The love for Dollywood stretches outside of the United States. TripAdvisor not only named it one of the best amusement parks in the country, but it was on TripAdvisor’s list for the Top 25 amusement parks in the world! Dollywood came in spot number 8, making it the first American park on the list that’s not a part of the Disney or Universal families. TripAdvisor bases its rankings on reviews and ratings from travelers around the world. In a press release about the award, the president of Dollywood said the following:
“To be included in the top-10 with the most iconic parks in the industry illustrates our strong commitment to delivering the absolute best guest experience. On behalf of Dolly and all of our hosts, we are thankful to be named in the company of these amazing parks. This truly is a great honor.”
