Gatlinburg Waves Goodbye to 2013 With a Bang

New Years Eve event in GatlinburgBefore you begin your lists of resolution and revelations, the city of Gatlinburg is inviting Smoky Mountain fans to celebrate the ending of another exciting year with their 26th annual New Year’s Eve Ball Drop and Fireworks Show.

Located in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg at the intersection of Parkway and Historic Nature Trail, this exciting New Year’s Eve event in Gatlinburg  is definitely one you and your family will not want to miss! Musical entertainment will be in attendance, filling the air with uplifting tunes from the balcony of Gatlinburg Convention Center. And because it is not New Year’s Eve without a few horns and upcoming year’s hats, special party favors will be provided for the crowd.

All of the fun and excitement, of course, is leading up to the iconic ball drop from the Gatlinburg Space Needle. The crowd will count down the seconds until the clock strikes midnight on January 1 as the illuminated ball descends, signifying the end of another eventful year in the Smokies. A midnight, event goers will be in awe of the spectacular fireworks show that will light up the night sky!
