About the Penguins at Ripley’s Aquarium in Gatlinburg
The Penguin Playhouse is one of the most popular exhibits in Ripley’s Aquarium in Gatlinburg. It allows visitors to come nose-to-beak with the penguins in their indoor and outdoor habitat. When you visit the aquarium, you can see these birds from above and below the water. They have their own private beach in the outdoor exhibit and can be seen swimming around through the underwater tunnel. You can watch them swim, eat and play! In September of 2019, Ripley’s penguin exhibit became home to four new birds who were sent from Zoo Knoxville. These birds joined a group of penguins who already called the aquarium home.
