Comedy Barn Theater in Pigeon Forge to Say Goodbye to Comical Dogs

Chocolate Lab PuppyThe Smoky Mountain’s favorite canines are packing up and heading west when summer is over. Comedy Barn’s Dawn Goehring and her fun-loving pups are waving goodbye to to their mountain home and moving to Hawaii!

On August 18, Goehring and her dogs will take the stage one last time at the Comedy Barn Theater in Pigeon Forge. With over a decade of entertainment under the belt, Goehring and her dogs will surely be missed.

Goehring and her dogs are best known for their unique blend of comedy and education in their shows. Outside of their 500 shows a year at The Comedy Barn Theater in Pigeon Forge, Goehring and her dogs have performed at several school shows, charity events, corporate venues, nursing homes and more. Along with fast-paced tricks, Goehring uses her dogs to teach her audiences important lessons including the responsibility of owning a dog, bite prevention, how to greet a dog and how dogs help humans.

One of the dogs from the comedy band will not be making the long journey west. Jay Bird, the oldest dog in the bunch, will be remaining in the Smokies under the care of one of Goehring’s high school friends due to health issues.

The Comedy Barn Theater in Pigeon Forge has not yet decided what will be replacing Goehring and her dogs. However, with a long history of entertaining Smoky Mountain vacationers, fans can rest assured that it will be something fun and exciting.
