Drive the Parkway
One of the easiest and most relaxing ways to experience the Smoky Mountain Christmas lights is to take your family on a peaceful drive along the Parkway in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. This way you can explore all of the illuminating displays from the comfort of your car while also driving passed all of your favorite Smoky Mountain attractions.
Surrounded by the millions of twinkling holiday lights, you and your family will definitely find yourself in the holiday spirit.
Not to mention, the best part about this option is that it is completely free!
Pigeon Forge Trolley of Lights
In case you don’t feel like driving, you and your family can still enjoy exploring all of the Smoky Mountain Christmas lights by hopping a ride on the Pigeon Forge Trolley of Lights tour.
The Smoky Mountain Christmas lights tour kicks off at The Old Mill and winds its way around all of the illuminated displays in Pigeon Forge.
Tour times are Monday-Friday at 6:45 p.m., 7:45 p.m. and 9 p.m. through the end of December. In January, the tour times change to just Monday and Friday.
Tickets for the Pigeon Forge Trolley of Lights is $5 per person. Groups of 10 or more are asked to please pre-pay and make reservations with the Pigeon Forge Trolley System.

Gatlinburg Winter Magic Trolley Ride of Lights
Once you have experienced all the fun and excitement of the Pigeon Forge trolley tour through the Smoky Mountain Christmas lights, why not head down the road a little and see what all downtown Gatlinburg has to offer? Similar to the Pigeon Forge tour, guests to the Gatlinburg Winter Magic Trolley Ride of Lights will take visitors on a scenic drive through all the breathtaking light displays around town.
Now through the end of January, tour times for the Gatlinburg Christmas lights tour start at 6:30 p.m, 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Tickets are $5 per person and the tour starts off at 88 River Road in Gatlinburg.
Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland in Sevierville
If you are looking for a more exciting auto tour through the Smoky Mountain Christmas lights, be sure to swing by Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland at Smokies Stadium in Sevierville. With thousands of beautiful lights all synced to festive holiday music, guests to Shadrack’s are sure to be in awe by the stunning displays.
What’s even better, is once you have toured through all of the beautiful lights, you and your family can spend some time inside Santa’s Village at Shadrack’s and even have your picture taken with Father Christmas himself.
