This race helps to bring much needed funds to Boy Scouts across America. Visitors and race participants come from all over the globe to show their support for the Boy Scouts. To get the event started, participants are welcome to kick-off the event with a visit to the Dixie Stampede. Join Boy Scouts, families and other children from all over as they enjoy a day full of excitement at this popular Pigeon Forge attraction. This dinner theater is a fun place to eat, putting you right in the middle of the action. Horse riding stunts, special effects and musical productions are just some of what you will see while dining on a four-course feast complete with dessert. From the mouth-watering rotisserie chicken to the creamy vegetable soup, you are sure to enjoy each minute of the Boy Scout Smoky Mountain Run Kick-Off event.

The annual Boy Scout Smoky Mountain Run event has been held for the last several years, attraction more and more participants as well as visitors each time it is held. The race has helped to raise more than $1 million for Boy Scouts over the years. This is known as one of the greatest fundraising events in Eastern Tennessee. Not only does the event draw in many who aim at providing for the Boy Scouts, but also who strive to win themselves big prizes during the race. More than $10,000 in prize winnings were handed out at former Boy Scout Smoky Mountain Run events.

Each race is split into different categories, making it fair for all participants to have their shot at a winning prize amount. Overall Male, Female, and Masters winners are determined, each receiving $750. Other top finishers in their age range and division also take home $100 in cash prizes.
