When you visit the Smokies, you will find some incredible activities that allow you to venture high above the mountains for unbelievable views. 1. Anakeesta

Treetop Canopy Walk at Anakeesta The Treeventure Challenge Course at Anakeesta is an activity that children of all ages are sure to love. It features three levels of the most fascinating interactive treehouse in the United States. Imagine the treehouse that your neighborhood had when you were growing up, and then multiply the size of that by a bunch! This adventure includes six netted bridges and other obstacles that your kids can climb, swing, and crawl through. Be sure to also visit the Treetop Skywalk, which features 880 feet of hanging bridges that are suspended between 50 and 60 feet in the air!

2. Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud

Not only can you see professional lumberjacks in action when you visit Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud, but you can also test out your own skills in the Adventure Park! In the High Woodsman section of the park, everyone ages 5 and up can take part in the lumberjack-themed ropes course. On the top level, you will be connected by a harness at all times, while the middle section of the course is surrounded by netting. The Adventure Park is also home to several other activities, including Loggersports, the Flying Ox, and the Timber Towers.

3. Gatlin’s Smoky Mountain Fun

Gatlin’s Rope Course is the first of its kind in Gatlinburg, as it features three stories with 38 different challenges, including rickety bridges, suspended ropes, and other balancing obstacles. Although you will be suspended high in the sky, the safety equipment at Gatlin’s will ensure your family is safe during the adventure. Some of the other thrilling activities at this fun center include miniature golf, bumper cars, and a mirror maze!

4. The Island

You will find all sorts of incredible activities when you visit The Island in Pigeon Forge, including one of the most phenomenal rope courses. The Sky Trail Explorer Ropes Course is a three-story adventure that features 30 different activities! After getting strapped in for the fun, guests will work through a variety of obstacles to make it to the top of the tower before ziplining back down to start again! There is no time limit to the ropes course, so feel free to take time to explore all the different obstacles. For those who aren’t old enough to tackle this challenge, they can still enjoy the thrill of an obstacle course with the Sky Tykes Course.

5. WonderWorks

WonderWorksAs you travel down the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, it will be hard to pass up the upside down mansion! Inside, you will find all sorts of incredible exhibits that will blow your mind. In addition to the museum, WonderWorks is also home to the world’s largest indoor ropes course. Standing at 50 feet tall, visitors will work their way up 4 stories through a variety of challenges and obstacles. Some of the activities include swinging steps, lily pads, a tremor bridge, and much more! The best news is that this awesome family activity is included in the price of general admission tickets.
