New Addition Coming to the Blooms and Tunes Spring Event at Anakeesta

Spring is an amazing time to visit the Smoky Mountains! Not only is the weather beautiful, but there are a ton of events to check out all across town. Each year, thousands of visitors come to the Smokies to take part in car shows, food festivals, entertainment spectacles, and so much more! One of the most popular spring festivals takes place high above the streets of Gatlinburg. Here is everything you need to know about the Blooms and Tunes event at Anakeesta, including something being added this year:

New Additions

If you have attended the Blooms and Tunes festival in the past, you will notice something new and exciting for this year’s event. The park is adding in a new bar called The Watering Can. The bar will open in mid April, and will be located at the base of AnaVista Tower. The opening date will align perfectly with the beginning of Blooms and Tunes, which kicks off April 15th. At the new bar area, guests will be able to find local craft beers and seasonal cocktails. There will also be a seating area where you can enjoy your drink while taking in the beautiful view of the Smoky Mountains!

More about the Festival

Anakeesta flowers Blooms and Tunes is one of the most popular festivals at Anakeesta! During the event, the mountain will feature everything spring related, including art displays, live music every evening, seasonal menu items at the restaurants, and thousands of blooming wildflowers! As you make your way through the theme park, be on the lookout for the bright flower sculptures. In all, you will be able to spot 29 of them, including the 20-foot blooming daisy masterpiece! Be sure to stop by Black Bear Village where you can enjoy an array of live music, including bluegrass, country, oldies, and more! The best part is the music and scenery is all included in your admission ticket to the park! The festival is scheduled to run through June 4th.

Fun for the Whole Family

While the special happenings of the Blooms and Tunes event will be well worth your ticket price, you can also explore all the other wonderful year round activities at Anakeesta! If you are bringing your kids along on the adventure, they will love the opportunity to take on the Treeventure Challenge Course! Think of this as the coolest treehouse you have ever seen in your life! There are three levels of activities where your kids can climb, swing, crawl, and slide their way through the course. For an extra adventure, your family can take part in the Dueling Zipline Adventure! This 3 zipline tour allows your group to soar through the Smokies and experience the unbelievable mountain views up close.

Other Spring Events to See

Dollywood Umbrella Sky While you are in town checking out the Blooms and Tunes event at Anakeesta, be sure to visit some of the other theme parks around the Smokies to see what they have in store. For example, Dollywood in Pigeon Forge has their Flower and Food festival happening as well from the end of April to the beginning of June. During this event, you can explore larger than life blooming sculptures, dance under the colorful umbrella sky, and listen to the inspirational sounds of spring! If you want to see more beautiful flowers, check out one of the many wildflower hikes in the Smoky Mountains National Park!
