1. Log Cabin Pancake House

Family-owned and operated since 1976, Log Cabin Pancake House is one of the best places to enjoy your morning meal! They serve everything from old-fashioned pancakes with syrup to country ham and eggs, so it’s no surprise they have the best breakfast in Gatlinburg. For the early risers, this restaurant begins serving breakfast at 7 AM every morning! If the thought of waking up that early makes you a little nauseous, you will be relieved to know that they serve breakfast all day until 2 PM so you can catch up on some much-needed rest. After all, you are on mountain time!

2. Pancake Pantry

Pancake Pantry in GatlinburgMore than 60 years ago, Jim and June Gerding had a dream of opening up Tennessee’s first pancake specialty house. Even though neither had any experience in the restaurant industry, they took the leap of faith and opened up Pancake Pantry in 1965. Looking back on it, it’s safe to say the investment paid off. Today, this Gatlinburg restaurant is one of the most popular Smoky Mountain restaurants! They serve 24 different varieties of pancakes, ranging from old-fashioned buttermilk to Swiss chocolate chip pancakes! Breakfast starts early at 7 AM, but continues until 3 PM. They also have an amazing lunch menu that can be ordered from beginning at 11:30!

3. Crockett’s Breakfast Camp

For some of the best breakfast in Gatlinburg, be sure to stop in at Crockett’s Breakfast Camp. This Gatlinburg restaurant serves as the legacy of David C. “Crockett” Maples, who served as a private and corporal in Company H, Ninth Tennessee Calvary, from October 1863 until June 1865. Just as he dedicated his life to serving others, Crockett’s Breakfast Camp does the same. From 7 AM to 1 PM, you can enjoy dozens of breakfast specialties, including omelets, waffles, and their amazing skillet meals! Of course, you can never go wrong with one of their famous giant cinnamon rolls!

4. Mel’s Classic Diner

When you pull into the parking lot, one of the first things you will notice is the fancy hot rod parked out front. Once you step through the doors, you will be transported back to the time of jukeboxes and fresh homemade banana splits. They also have an array of marvelous breakfast options, including Big Daddy’s Gut Buster Breakfast. This feast includes 2 eggs, hash browns or grits, biscuits and gravy, and a meat of your choice! You can order off the entire menu all day long, so stop by to have a burger for breakfast or pancakes late into the nighttime hours.

5. Atrium Restaurant

This Gatlinburg restaurant takes breakfast to the next level with a fantastic selection of house specials that are sure to leave you with a full belly and a smile on your face. Some of the things on the menu to choose from include scrambled eggs with meat mixed in, seven different styles of pancakes, and omelets that are to die for! The Atrium Restaurant is open every day at 7:30 and serves breakfast until 2 PM. They also have a great lunch menu that begins at 11 AM, so everyone can have their choice of southern lunch specials or breakfast.

6. Frizzle Chicken Farmhouse Cafe

This is one of the many Smoky Mountain restaurants that are sure to keep every member of your family entertained. While you enjoy your breakfast favorites, periodically you will be serenaded by dozens of singing chickens! Your kids will love the added entertainment to go along with special bear pancakes. For the adults, Frizzle Chicken Farmhouse Cafe serves a multitude of menu options, including the true southern specialty chicken and waffles.
