About the Butterfly Mural in Sevierville TN

This beautiful mural, “Wings of Wander,” was created by local artist Pinkie Mistry. Not only is this the first mural downtown, but it’s Mistry’s first outdoor mural! The talented artist said she was honored to give back and help brighten up her hometown. And, of course, a butterfly mural is fitting for Sevierville. It was inspired by Dolly Parton, who we all know is a fan of butterflies.

The mural measures about 16 feet high and 20 feet across. It shows a large set of butterfly wings with smaller butterflies floating away to the left. The mural can be found on the back of a storage unit owned by the Sevier County Bank. Although Mistry started painting the mural at the end of May, she said the idea was in the works several years ago with the Sevierville Commons Association. Both visitors and locals love standing in between the butterfly wings and snapping a photo!
