Livin’ on Island Time in Pigeon Forge

Vintage style photo of ferris wheel in blue skyOne Pigeon Forge attraction has visitors living on island time while they spend their vacation in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. All in one place, vacationers can find shops, restaurants and the 200 foot tall Great Smoky Mountain Wheel. If you’re looking to relax and enjoy the sights of the Smokies, The Island in Pigeon Forge is a great place to spend a day or two of your Smoky Mountain vacation.

For a panoramic view of Pigeon Forge, take your family for a ride on the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel. The climate-controlled gondolas will take your family 20 stories into the air. If you ride the Wheel at night, you will be part of an LED light show that sparkles across the evening sky.

Many families visit The Island in Pigeon Forge for the family-friendly atmosphere and entertainment. At night, the shops, restaurant and activities stay open while visitors can enjoy musical entertainment. While you’re relaxing on Pigeon Forge island time, browse the gift shops and stop for a sweet treat at one of the many snack shops.

Mellow Mushroom and Timberwood Grill are the two restaurants available at the Pigeon Forge attraction. A new restaurant, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, will be making its way to the Island in Pigeon Forge. Expected to open February 2014, the restaurant will be a perfect addition for visitors wanting to experience island life during their mountain vacation.
