On the morning of October 21, at 11:41a.m., Dolly Parton was involved in a two-vehicle car accident in Nashville. She was riding in the front passenger seat of a Nissan Xterra that was struck at an intersection.
WBIR News reported that both Parton and the driver of the Xterra were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment. Fortunately, police reported that no serious injuries occurred in the Monday morning accident.
Dolly Parton tweeted about her accident, saying: “I was in a fender bender this morning here in Nashville, but I am all good… Just a little tired and sore. Resting at home now!”

Recently, Dolly Parton was in Pigeon Forge to announce a few big changes that were headed to her hometown. Plans are still in motion to create a $300 million resort as well as the nation’s first dual-launch roller coaster. The 300-room DreamMore Resort is set to open in the summer of 2015 while the FireChaser Express roller coaster is set to open to visitors in spring 2014. The expansion will create over 2,000 jobs in Pigeon Forge.

It has been reported that the person in the other car was taken to Centennial Medical Center. Police have reported that none of the injuries were serious.

Praying and wishing you a very speedy recovery, glad it was not any worse. My husband and I were married in Pigeon Ford, but went to be with Lord 6/12 very unexpected. We always hoped we would get to see u in person. We got to meet the other Merle Haggard, I even used his song Cabin On The Hill in His service. I really am glad u were not hurt bad. We got married in Pigeon Forge. Still hope I see you in person one day.

Dolly, I live in Knoxville and love the park, and almost took jobs at Dollywood. Since then we have incurred health problems and do not get to the park very often like we use to.
