Harry Potter Birthday Bash Coming to the Smoky Mountains

If your kids are fans of the Harry Potter series, they will definitely want to visit the Smoky Mountains this July 31st! As any devoted book reader can tell you, the 31st is Harry’s birthday, and the Anna Porter Public Library in Gatlinburg, TN is marking the occasion with a special celebration. When and Where

The Harry Potter Birthday Bash will be held at the Anna Porter Public Library on July 31st, 2017. The festivities will run from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. The library is located at 158 Proffitt Road in Gatlinburg, TN.

The Birthday Bash is guaranteed to be a hit with anyone who loves the Harry Potter books or movies! Guests are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite character from the series or to wear a costume that represents their preferred Hogwarts house. Here is a quick look at some of the fun activities planned for the event:

  • Quidditch – the Wizarding World’s favorite sport, which is played on broomstick
  • Harry Potter board games
  • A make-your-own wand station
  • Magical sweets and treats, including pumpkin juice
  • Screenings of the Harry Potter movies

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, so we can’t think of a better time to celebrate the world’s most famous wizard! While Harry Potter and his pals took classes in transfiguration and potion making, visitors to Doc’s Magic Shop will have the chance to learn some magic of their own! This fun shop offers a great selection of ready-made magic tricks and kits that will delight your children.
