Inside Look at WonderWorks in Pigeon Forge TN (Video Included!)

We’re sure you’ve seen that upside down building on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, but have you ever visited? Thanks to the team at WonderWorks in Pigeon Forge, we were able to take an inside look at all of the fun things to do inside the attraction! Take a look at our video tour with Kerensa below:

Meredith: Hi, I’m Meredith with Visit My Smokies, and today we’re here to take an insider’s look into WonderWorks right here in Pigeon Forge, TN. With me is Kerensa, the sales manager right here at WonderWorks. We’re so excited to be here!

Kerensa: Oh, we’re so glad to have you here today and we’re excited to show you around WonderWorks. Are y’all ready to go inside?

Meredith: Sure are! So, I see the outside transfers to the inside. I see over here everything is upside down.

Pigeon Forge tunnel at WonderWorksKerensa: Yes. You walk in and this is our upside down lobby. After the lift, you’ll see the Hall of Magic which is Terry Evanswood’s personal collection of magic memorabilia and then, right here, is the entrance to the Illusion Tunnel and over 100 interactive exhibits. We are made up of four different zones. The first zone is Disaster, the second is Challenge. We have the Space Zone and the Wonder Zone. So, in each one, you experience something just a little bit different.

Meredith: So it’s educational and fun.

Kerensa: Yes, yes. There’s an educational aspect to everything in here.

Meredith: Oh wow, what is that?

Kerensa: So these are the 360 rides. You go all the way upside down and it all depends on how much you pedal, how much you go around.

Outdoor sign for WonderWorks in Pigeon ForgeMeredith: Now are there age limits to certain attractions here?

Kerensa: Instead of age limits, we have height limits and weight limits so you only have to be 40 pounds to do the rock wall.

Meredith: Okay.

Kerensa: The 360 ride I think it’s 52″ to be able to go on it.

Meredith: Okay, this looks really interesting! Tell me about the Bed of Nails.

Kerensa: So this is one of our most popular exhibits. What you do is you just lay and relax and the Bed of Nails will come up through the board there and we’re off. So if you look up in here, you can see the 4 story, 50 challenge endurance course.

Meredith: That looks like a lot of fun. Wow, it seems like everywhere we turn it’s something else, something new and exciting. I can’t imagine a child not falling completely in love with this. And parents as well as children. I mean this is really suitable for all age ranges.

First room at WonderWorks in Pigeon ForgeKerensa: So this is our Gallery of Wonders. It’s full of optical illusions and one of the newest things that we’re getting ready to add is a special collection of sculptures that was created by Dr. Seuss, the famous children’s book author.

Meredith: Oh how sweet! Thank you so much for taking us on this tour today. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I know my son would too.  It’s a place for everyone, young at heart, children for sure. It’s educational, but it’s fun too. I mean there was never a time that I thought I was learning. It was just a lot of fun and I just can’t thank you enough. It was wonderful!

Kerensa: Well, we’re all so glad y’all came and I hope you’ll come back and visit us again.
