Smoky Mountain Christmas Preparations

November 7th is the kick off date for the magnificent light display turned on for the season. Christmas lights in Gatlinburg will feature over three million lights! What a fairy tale sight! There will also be live entertainment and a fireworks display. You will delight in sampling different recipes of chili by over 20 vendors and restaurants.

A Smoky Mountain Christmas can be celebrated from the turning on the lights on November 7th through February 28. This is perfect for the families who do not want to spend Christmas Day away from home but long to see the excitement of this Smoky Mountain area at Christmas.

Christmas in Pigeon Forge features the beautiful Pigeon Forge Fun Time Trolley. See the city’s beautiful light display in a temperature controlled trolley, out of the weather and led by a tour guide that knows where all the lights are. Gatlinburg also invites you to tour the Christmas lights in their city by offering comfortable trolley rides that will show you the whole fantastic display. Christmas in Pigeon Forge means the annual A Mountain Quiltfest is held the month after Winterfest closes.

Christmas in Pigeon Forge would not be complete without a visit to Dollywood. This
wonderful amusement parks offer traditional rides and attractions as well as special Christmas shows. From Winterfest opening through Christmas, you will delight in live shows and special music fests for adults and children. Each evening there will be a Parade of Lights that will enchant everyone.

A Smoky Mountain Christmas is a great way to get away before the holiday business or during the after holiday let-down.
