The Trails at Ober
The Trails at Ober provides guests with an introduction to hiking so they can learn the basics and head out into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and enjoy other hiking trails. The trail is 1.5 miles roundtrip, and it follows alongside Ober Gatlinburg’s chairlift and the border of the national park. People of all ages will enjoy the adventure of exploring a trail through the woods!
On the hike, the experienced guide will tell hikers about the history of the area and identify wildflowers and other foliage along the trail. You might even spot wildlife along the trail, such as black bears, squirrels, or birds! In addition to flowers and animals, you will be able to see ponds, steps, a bridge, and a wishing well. The guides stop and provide opportunities to rest and hydrate, as well as stops for photo opportunities! This trail is considered easy with rolling hills, but there are uphill climbs to prepare guests for more moderate hikes in the future.
These guided hiking sessions take place Monday through Friday at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm. Hikes will take place whether it is raining or the sun is shining. This guided hiking experience is $20 per person, and people who are 6 years old and up can participate.
