A handful of exciting attractions are scheduled to open their doors to fun-seeking visitors in 2024, giving you several fresh activities to take part in on your next trip. Switch things up on your next visit by trying something new! Here are 5 new things to do in the Smoky Mountains in 2024:

1. The Dolly Parton Experience

Dollywood butterfly signAre you down with Dolly? Dollywood is getting an extra dose of Dolly with the addition of The Dolly Parton Experience! This attraction at the beloved Pigeon Forge theme park is set to include numerous exhibits in multiple buildings, interactive elements that allow you to be a part of the fun and more. Learn more about Dolly’s humble beginnings here in Locust Ridge to the incredible heights she elevated to throughout her career. The Dolly Parton Experience is slated to open in May 2024.

2. Dig’n Zone Theme Park

Dirty up your boots and pour in some blue-collar sweat equity at Dig’n Zone Theme Park in Sevierville! Operate real-life construction equipment at what’s set to become the world’s largest construction-based theme park! Among all the new things to do in the Smoky Mountains in 2024, this might be the most unique. Dig’n Zone will be home to 25 different attractions scattered across its 27 acres, where children and adults alike can hop aboard and operate equipment such as excavators, skid-steers, rollers, forklifts, loaders and more. Dig’n Zone’s grand opening is set for March 1.

Unleash your best moves during these adrenaline-pumping adventures! NERF Action Xperience is expected to open in the fall.

4. The Fox & The Apple

Enjoy some downtime following your Smoky Mountain adventures with the soothing taste of locally produced hard ciders at The Fox & The Apple! This Victorian-inspired cidery at Foxfire Adventure Park will serve up comforting ciders made from the freshest fruits grown in the Smoky Mountains. Enjoy exhilarating experiences like ziplining, rock climbing, walking across a swinging bridge and more at Foxfire Adventure Park before relaxing with refreshing sips from The Fox & The Apple!

5. The Crayola Experience

This Pigeon Forge attraction gives guests the opportunity to express themselves and discover the fascinating world of art in a family-friendly environment. A 30,000 square-foot facility will be home to more than 20 unique, hand-on experiences, from crafting wax art to naming your very own Crayola crayon! The Crayola Experience plans to open in the fall.
