New Mass Transit Center Coming to Pigeon Forge
There’s a new mass transit center coming to Pigeon Forge! The Pigeon Forge City Commission recently approved the construction of the new center, and the project is expected to begin soon. We’ve gathered all the details on the new mass transit center in Pigeon Forge and tips for riding the Pigeon Forge Trolley.
New Mass Transit Center in Pigeon Forge
On July 28, Pigeon Forge city leaders approved the construction of a new mass transit center. The $5.4 million project includes a redesign of the facility’s parking lot to improve traffic flow and create additional parking spaces. The city said there will be 8,407 square feet of interior space, with an additional 2,228 square feet of covered porches. In addition, 12,578 square feet will be devoted to 10 new trolley berths, 6 covered and 4 uncovered. The mass transit center will also include a passenger waiting area, administrative offices, an employee break area, restrooms, and 313 new public parking places!
The new mass transit center in Pigeon Forge will remain in Patriot Park, but it will be moving to the east end of the existing parking lot. As of right now, the mass transit center is expected to be finished by August of 2021.
About the Pigeon Forge Trolley
The Pigeon Forge Trolley is the best way to get around town! You can enjoy taking in the sights around you instead of focusing on the traffic. The motto for the Pigeon Forge Trolley is, “Park your cares and ride with the bears!” The trolley station is currently located in Patriot Park at 186 Old Mill Ave. All of the trolleys depart and return to that location. The Pigeon Forge trolleys travel to more than 200 official stops in Pigeon Forge, as well as some locations in Gatlinburg and Sevierville. They make it easier for visitors to travel through the Pigeon Forge area! All of the trolleys are also lift-equipped for wheelchairs and other mobility aids.

There are 6 Pigeon Forge Trolley routes:
- North Parkway
- South Parkway
- Dollywood
- Dolly’s Splash Country
- Gatlinburg Welcome Center
- Wears Valley Road
Please note: Currently, the Pigeon Forge Trolley is operating on a modified schedule, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Only 3 routes are available: North/South Parkway, Wears Valley and Gatlinburg Welcome Center. Keep in mind that the modified service might result in longer delays between stops.
Pigeon Forge Trolley Prices
All of the trolley routes require a $1 fare, with the exception of Dollywood and Dolly’s Splash Country, which are both $2.50. You can purchase an all-day pass from the Pigeon Forge Mass Transit Center for only $3, which covers all trolley rides for the day. Children 3 and under can ride the trolley for free!
