At 11a.m. on August 21, the country music icon announced that Dollywood in Pigeon Forge will undergo a 10-year $300 million expansion. The expansion will feature a 300-room DreamMore Resort as well as the nation’s first dual-launch roller coaster, FireChaser Express. While becoming an even more family friendly vacation destination, the expansion is projected to create 2,500 new jobs.
