Pigeon Forge Attractions

One of the best parts about a trip to Dollywood is that it is like a trip down memory lane. Each of the different areas of the park pay tribute to not only the life and times of Dolly Parton, but they honor the rich history of the Smoky Mountains. Today, we are excited to announce that the national cable channel The History Channel has taken notice to the Smoky Mountain history at Dollywood and has decided to honor the Pigeon Forge amusement park in an upcoming episode of their popular show American Pickers.

Calling all thrill seekers! We at Visit My Smokies have found one of our new favorite ways to spend the afternoon, and it involves ziplining in Wears Valley. Not only does this adventure offer incredible views, but it is also one of the easiest ways to add a whole new sense of adventure to your family’s next Smoky Mountain vacation.

With tons of thrilling rides, exciting shows and great food, it’s no wonder why Dollywood’s Pigeon Forge Amusement Park is one of the most popular attractions in the Smoky Mountains. That being said, a trip to Dollywood can also be a little pricey for families wanting to go there on their next Smoky Mountain vacation. However, thanks to the creative team with Google Street View, fans of the beloved Pigeon Forge amusement park can now get a special sneak peak inside the attraction before they arrive.

UPDATE: The original owners of the Dolly Parton dog have stepped forward, and we are happy to report that she is now back home. Dolly Parton is known all around for her big hair, her big personality, and her big heart! And in true Dolly fashion, she recently made international headlines when she tweeted a picture of a lost dog found after her concert at the Glastonbury Festival in the United Kingdom. Dolly Parton was at the festival performing songs off her newest album, Blue Smoke.
