Cartoon shark saying hiThose lovable rubber sharks are back! The latest running of the Great Gatlinburg Shark Race will be held Saturday, September 21 at 3 p.m. Competitors in this popular event will race rubber sharks by dropping them in the Little Pigeon River. Hosted by Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, the Great Gatlinburg Shark Race has been a great benefit to the community and the charities it has supported.

Three clear moonshine jarsIf you have a passion for fast cars and homemade moonshine, the Fast Cars N Mason Jars Moonshine Festival is one of the best things to do in Gatlinburg, TN. The festival begins on September 26th, and ends on the 28th. The races will take place at the Moonshine Holler, which can be found within the Ole Smoky Moonshine parking lot. When you visit the Holler, be sure to take a gander at some of the surrounding images and art while you enjoy a variety of "moonshine cars".

This event is aimed towards the youth of today who long to learn more about and share their wisdom of Christ. More than 6,000 teenagers come to each day of the event to see some of the top Christian artists and performers take to the stage for a day of fun and music. Speakers and youth communicators will be at Winter Xtreme 2012 to share their own stories about Christianity, their beliefs and to bring teens closer together through worship services. Some artists that will be present at Winter Xtreme 2012 include Casting Crowns, Newsboys and Tenth Avenue North.
