Soulful Sounds in the Smokies

There’s a rich heritage of music in the Smoky Mountains. Bluegrass, folk, country, etc., all have connections here. And the love of music is evident by the number of musical reviews in the area. So when a new music show opens, it’s likely to be embraced. And the newest review to reach Sevier County has a lot of soul.

The Classics of Motown
at the Nate Evans Theater
relives the days when the smooth sounds of Detroit
dominated the airwaves. Evans, a former member of The Impressions and The
Temptations, showcases different legends each week. Opened in June of this
year, this show features the stories, the moves and the songs from a time when
music was expanding. Two hours of music from such an extensive library is sure
to keep you your toes tapping and your spirits high as the rich harmonies fill
the air.

This show originally began in Las Vegas before
moving to Sevier County. With a theater that seats more than 800, the whole
audience can get involved and sing along to the favorites of yesteryear. It is
a family-friendly show, so you can impress your children and grandchildren with
your singing. For a great trip down memory lane, be sure to catch the tunes
being played at the Nate Evans Theater.
