Coming Soon to Rowdy Bear Ridge: New Coaster

There’s a brand new coaster coming to Rowdy Bear Ridge Amusement Park! While no major details have been released about it yet, crews are hard at work getting it ready for its opening in summer of 2020. About Rowdy Bear Ridge in Pigeon Forge

Rowdy Bear Mountain brought some new activities to Pigeon Forge with the opening of Rowdy Bear Ridge! Rowdy Bear Ridge Adventure Park opened its first attraction on May 25, 2019: mountain tubing. This year-round tubing hill is the first of its kind in the world, and has the longest run in Tennessee! You’ll race down the 500-foot-long hill, reaching speeds up to 35 miles per hour and experiencing a 70-foot drop. You can ride in single, double, or triple tubes. Tubing is available both during the day and at night! Get a sneak peak at the tubing hill below:

Laser Gun Coaster: In addition, Rowdy Bear Ridge in Pigeon Forge opened an aerial twin seat coaster, which is also the first of its kind in the United States! Guests will swing through the air while enjoying spectacular views of Pigeon Forge. What makes this coaster unique, however, is the laser guns! Riders will get to point and shoot their laser guns at targets as they soar through the air. Kids especially love seeing how many points they can score on the ride!

This attraction has two thrill rides for visitors to enjoy: the Rowdy Bear Coaster and the Mountain Glider. The Rowdy Bear Coaster reaches speeds up to 35 miles an hour and winds through the woods of Rowdy Bear Mountain. You get to control your own speed on this mountain coaster, so you can choose to go slower to enjoy the ride, or speed up for the ultimate thrill! The Mountain Glider is the first of its kind in the world. It is a suspended single-rail coaster that soars through the treetops. It combines the feeling of free falling with hang gliding.

This 200-foot-tall observation wheel offers incredible views of Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains. Each gondola can fit up to 8 people, so the whole family can ride together! You’ll also want to enjoy the beautiful Island Show Fountain while you’re there.

Gatlinburg SkyLift Park

The Gatlinburg SkyLift Park is full of adventure. Ride the scenic Gatlinburg SkyLift to the top of Crockett Mountain, where you can step off and explore the Gatlinburg SkyDeck. The SkyDeck has places to relax and admire the views, a gift shop, a restaurant, and more. If you’re feeling daring, take a walk along the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America! The SkyBridge stretches for 680 feet and has a 15-foot-long glass panel at its midpoint so you can look below you. After your fun, you’ll ride the Gatlinburg SkyLift back down Crockett Mountain.
