Rhonda Vincent to Headline Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival in Smoky Mountains

Some of the very best bluegrass performers in the world are coming to Tennessee’s Smoky Mountains! This September, the Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival will return to Kodak, TN for another year of amazing music, food, and fun. The Grammy Award-winning band Rhonda Vincent & The Rage will headline the three-day festival, which will include performances from 15 different bluegrass acts. To help you make the most of your next vacation in Sevier County, Visit My Smokies has put together a guide to everything you need to know about the Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival.

Dates and Location for the Bluegrass Festival

This year’s Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival is scheduled for September 13 – 15, 2018. All of the fun will take place at Dumplin Valley Farm, which is located just off I-40 Exit 407 at 525 East Dumplin Valley Road, Kodak, TN 37764.

Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival Lineup

The Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival boasts a truly stellar roster for its 19th year! As noted above, the critically acclaimed group Rhonda Vincent & The Rage will take the stage for two rollicking concerts. Boasting 19 awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association and seven Grammy nominations, Rhonda Vincent & The Rage are the most awarded band in bluegrass history.

Please note that there will be a dinner break each day from 5 – 6 p.m. and the schedule is subject to change.

What to Expect at the Bluegrass Festival

The Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival is a rain or shine event. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, as there is no seating. If you’re a musician yourself, feel free to bring your instrument as well, because there is plenty of jamming that goes on in between the concerts!

The festival will be hosted by local radio personality Freddy Smith of WDVX. When you’re not enjoying the wonderful entertainment, you can grab a bite to eat at one of the food trucks parked at the farm. There will also be a great selection of bluegrass merchandise for sale.

Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival Tickets

Admission prices for the bluegrass festival are as follows:

  • Weekend Pass: $90
  • Two Day Ticket: $65
  • Thursday: $35
  • Friday: $35
  • Saturday: $35

Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online. Please note that pre-purchased tickets will be picked up at the gate upon arrival. Kids 12 and under are free with a ticketed adult.
