Bobby Bare, Connie Smith to Light Up the Stage at Pigeon Forge Show

Country music setting with cowboy hat, cowboy boots, and guitarCountry Tonite Theater will host long time country music legends Bobby Bare and Connie Smith for a special Pigeon Forge show. Known individually for their groundbreaking classic tunes, Bare and Smith’s show in Pigeon Forge will be held on July 26. Doors open at 8 p.m., and admission is $35 plus tax.

For over 50 years, Bobby Bare has been entertaining country music fans with his strong ballads like “Detroit City”, “Marie Laveau” and “(Margie’s At) The Lincoln Park Inn.” He has had a lot of success both on the country music charts and Pop charts.

On April 10 it was announced that Bare will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame along with fellow country music legends Cowboy Jack Clement and Kenny Rogers.

Singer, songwriter Connie Smith is also no stranger to the fast-paced world of country music. Similar to Bare, Smith has entertained fans with her tunes and tales since the late 60’s with hits like “Once A Day” and “Then and Only Then.”

Dolly Parton herself acknowledged Smith as one of the best female vocalists ever to take the stage in country music. In 2012 Smith was inducted to the Country Music Hall of Fame, and she was also ranked as one of the top 100 women in country music according to Country Universe in 2007.

Bare and Smith’s show in Pigeon Forge is a party of the year-long celebrity concert series at Country Tonight Theater. Other famous acts to brace the stage this year include Asleep at the Wheel with Mandy Barnett, Jim Ed Brown with Helen Cornelius and Lynn Anderson, and Don Williams.

The 2013 Celebrity Concert Series is a collaborated effort between Country Tonite Theater and First Class Production. Guests who purchase a ticket to one of Country Tonite’s celebrity Pigeon Forge show are eligible for half their admission to Country Tonite’s regular show.
