Great Smoky Mountain WheelThe Great Smoky Mountain Wheel at The Island at Pigeon Forge takes the spotlight being visible far before you reach the development but even greater is the view of the Great Smoky Mountains area that it offers its riders.  The tallest attraction for the area standing 200 feet high and designed with LED lights that creates a spectacular show in the evenings fascinating viewers.  Better than the view of just admiring the attraction and its light show is the picture perfect view while riding in one of the all glass gondolas seeing beyond Pigeon Forge TN looking toward mountain ridges of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  Each completely glass gondola seats 6-8 people taking you for an 8-10 minute ride. With a completely smooth and steady ride it will be safe and comfortable for all ages wishing to ride.  Tickets are sold on site and while reservations are not available if you really want to skip the line and have twice the length for your ride then you can purchase a VIP ticket that gives many extras to your experience.

While the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel make take the spot light it is not the only part of The Islands at Pigeon Forge that brings an electric energy to the evening fascinating viewers with a light show.  Spectacular show fountains artistically coordinate the water fountains to music and lights to create a fabulous show.       Hey Mary! The Island is located in Pigeon Forge at 131 Island Drive. It is located just off the Parkway (you can see the giant Great Smoky Mountain Wheel at The Island from many locations on the Parkway). You turn at Traffic Light 3A.
