Oktoberfest makes its triumphant return to the Gatlinburg mountainside amusement park in 2025 after a couple-year hiatus! Once one of the most popular seasonal festivals in the Smokies, the event will once again be a Bavarian celebration of the world’s most famous beer festivals. So get ready to put on your lederhosen! Getting to Ober Mountain
Ober Mountain’s breathtaking backdrop at nearly 3,000 feet in elevation provides the ultimate views for the return of Oktoberfest! You can ride the iconic Gatlinburg Tram, which is one of the largest aerial tramways in America, from downtown Gatlinburg to reach all the fun. This 2.1-mile journey takes about 10 minutes, giving guests unforgettable views of Gatlinburg and the Smokies aboard the ride. If you don’t wish to take the tram, you can reach Ober Mountain via your vehicle by going up Ski Mountain Road.

2025 Dates
Oktoberfest in Gatlinburg is scheduled for September 20th to November 1st in 2025 at Ober Mountain. This popular seasonal festival makes its return to Ober Mountain after not being held the last couple of years. We’re excited to have it back!
