Treat your family to something special this weekend by attending the 38th annual Festival of Christmas Past. Sponsored by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, this Smoky Mountain Christmas event is the perfect blend holiday cheer and rich mountain history.
This Smoky Mountains Christmas event will include dozens of local artisans displaying their talents in a variety of fields including old-time mountain music, traditional harp singing, rug weaving, apple-head dolls, quilt making, and more. The cherished Smoky Mountain storytellers Kathy and Mike Gwinn will also be in attendance to entertain the crowd with their vast knowledge of mountain lore.
A definite must see! One of the best parts about this Smoky Mountains Christmas event is the ever-popular Memories Walk. Here guests are taken on a guided tour of the Sugarlands Visitor Center and the surrounding area where “early settlers” tell their stories of early life in the mountains.
