Catch Some Fun At The Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament

Are you ready to demonstrate your angling abilities at one of the biggest events for fishing in Pigeon Forge? If so, you’re in luck, because the fall dates for the annual Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament are coming up soon. During the event, hundreds of fishing enthusiasts will descend on Pigeon Forge for the chance to win one of the many prizes available including, cash, trophies, gift certificates, fishing equipment, and free hotel and motel accommodations.

Prizes will be awarded in a number of categories including smallest and largest trout. There will also be different divisions for adults, children, locals and tourists. Anglers can have their trout weighed at Patriot Park, which is located at traffic light #7.

In preparation for this trout tournament, more than 10,000 fish will be stocked in a 20-mile section of stream just a few days before the event kicks off. The odds of catching some trout during this two-day event are high, not to mention that the thrill of the competition and the breathtaking mountain scenery will all have your heart pounding as well.

On Saturday, the tournament takes place from sunrise until 4 p.m., while on Sunday, competition happens from sunrise until 2 p.m. Plan now to get an early start those two days, so you can get a leg up on the competition and snag yourself some valuable prizes in the process.
