Days of Our Lives Cast to Visit Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge

The Hortons, Bradys, and DiMeras are coming to Pigeon Forge! Fans of the long-running soap opera Days of Our Lives will have the chance to meet the actors who portray their favorite characters when the show’s cast visits the Titanic Museum this October. Celebrating 50 years on the air, Days of Our Lives is marking the occasion with a special book tour spanning eight states. Visit My Smokies has all the details on this can’t-miss event.

The Days of Our Lives cast will be at the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge on October 31, 2015. From 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., the stars will sign copies of the new book “Days of Our Lives: 50 Years”. Featuring a treasure trove of historic photos from throughout the show’s half-century run, the book is an irresistible collector’s item for longtime fans of the show. The special anniversary book will be released on October 27 and is currently available for pre-order online.

Joining the stars of Days of Our Lives will be Greg Meng, a co-executive producer of the show and the author of the new book.

Night at the Titanic Sleepover

Grab your sleeping bag and spend the night at the Titanic Museum! This girls only sleepover on October 2 is a unique chance to get a behind the scenes look at the attraction after dark. The ship’s crew will share passenger stories and provide a PG rated movie for everyone to enjoy. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased in advance by calling 1-800-381-7670.

Book Signing with Yvonne Lehman

Author Yvonne Lehman will visit the Titanic Museum to sign copies of her novel “Hearts That Survive”. Telling the unforgettable love story of a young railroad heiress and a toy train maker who marry on the Titanic’s Grand Staircase, “Hearts That Survive” is an inspirational tale reaffirming the power of true love. Lehman will be at the Titanic Museum on the following dates:

  • October 9, 1 – 5 p.m.
  • October 10, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • October 11, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • October 12, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • December 28, 10 a.m – 5 p.m.
  • December 29, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.  
  • December 30, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Throughout October, the Titanic Museum honors clergy with their complimentary Pastor Appreciation Days. This month long recognition of pastors shines a light on the hugely important work religious leaders performed on the Titanic and continue to perform today. To take advantage of this promotion, pastors must present current Clergy ID.

Titanic Bible on Display

From now until the end of the year, visitors to the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge will have the chance to see the only bible saved from the ship. Owned by Titanic passenger Rev. Robert Bateman of Knoxville, TN, this artifact is a priceless addition to the museum’s already impressive collection.

Veterans Appreciation Days

In honor of Veterans Day, anyone who has served or is currently serving in the U.S. military gets free admission to the Titanic Museum from November 5 – 14. Guests must present Military ID or valid paperwork to take advantage of this promotion.

Celebrate the holiday season with the Titanic’s very own Fantasy Princess! With a real tiara and a regal ball gown, the Fantasy Princess will be available to take photos with your children on the following dates:

  • November 26, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. , 7- 9 p.m.
  • November 27, 11 a..m – 5 p.m. , 7 – 9 p.m.
  • November 28, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., 7 – 9 p.m.  

Thanksgiving Fireworks

Join the Titanic Museum for the area’s only Thanksgiving fireworks display. Honoring the 2,208 passengers and crew who sailed on the Titanic, these spectacular pyrotechnics are the perfect way to spend time with your family after Thanksgiving dinner. The show begins at 7 p.m. on November 26.

From November 1 – December 31, the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge will host its annual Christmas and Winter Celebration. The entire ship will be decked out in seasonal decorations, including the magnificent Grand Staircase. Be sure to spend some time admiring the ship’s amazing Edwardian era Christmas tree!
