Popular menu items at Hickory Cabin include the pulled pork, smoked chicken salad, corn nuggets, and banana pudding.
Hickory Cabin’s restaurant is only open for lunch on weekdays from 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., so be sure to plan your visit accordingly. If you’re having a wedding or family reunion in the Pigeon Forge area, you can have a BBQ feast catered by Hickory Cabin.
3. Smoky Mountain Brewery
Smoky Mountain Brewery is another wonderful place where the locals eat in Pigeon Forge TN and Gatlinburg TN. Boasting two locations in the Smoky Mountains, this fun brewpub is ideal for a night out on the town. 4. Holston’s Kitchen
Holston’s Kitchen has built a devoted local following for its delicious scratch-made fare and welcoming atmosphere. If you’re looking for a hearty meal served with a smile, you can’t beat Holston’s! Some of the standout dishes on Holston’s menu include the prime rib, fish and chips, french dip, and Hawaiian chicken. In addition to their regular American/Southern offerings, Holston’s also features Mexican Mondays and Saturday Brunch. Make sure to save room for dessert because their signature strawberry shortcake is spectacular!
5. Taste of Italy
Anyone craving pizza or pasta during their vacation will love Taste of Italy. Owned by a couple from Brooklyn, this restaurant serves all of your favorite Italian entrees, including chicken parm, lasagna, shrimp scampi, pizza, and calzones. Be wary of Taste of Italy’s irresistible garlic knots – once you start eating them, you might not be able to stop! Taste of Italy is a great choice for lunch, as the restaurant offers a variety of specials that are typically under $10.
