Pigeon Forge QuiltFest Celebrates 20 Years

Old hands quiltingIt’s almost that time of year again,the 2014 Pigeon Forge QuiltFest is just around the corner! A true demonstration of skill and accomplishment, the A Mountain QuiltFest invites quilters from all across the country for an exciting weekend in the Smokies.

Running March 19-22, this year’s Pigeon Forge Quiltfest will not only display the incredible talent of quilters, but guests will also have the chance to learn from the best at one of the 60 total lectures and classes offered during the event. Guests will also have the chance to pick up top-of-the-line thread, patterns, notions, and more!

Quilting Competition

Have your own quilt you want to show at this year’s Pigeon Forge event? Contestants can enter up to three different pieces for a chance to win over $20,000 in cash and prizes. Categories for prizes range anywhere from large hand-crafted quilts all the way to youth quilts. Contestants also have the opportunity to have their quilts professionally critiqued by a NQS-certified judge for only $10.

Housed inside the brand-new LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, admission to this year’s Pigeon Forge QuiltFest is free for both viewers and contestants, excluding the NQS judging.
