A classic Pigeon Forge show is making a triumphant return to the Smoky Mountains! This spring, the Lumberjack Feud will reopen with a new venue, new entertainment, and a new celebrity patron. Famous Southern chef Paula Deen will executive produce the show, adding another business to her growing number of ventures in the area. To help you prepare for your next vacation, Visit My Smokies has put together a guide to everything we know about Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud in Pigeon Forge.
History of the Lumberjack Feud
The original Lumberjack Feud opened in 2011 to popular acclaim. This fun dinner show centered around a competition between two teams of professional ESPN lumberjack athletes. With log rolling, tree climbing, ax swinging, chainsaw carving, and other logging events, this one-of-a-kind performance was thrilling to watch.
In 2015, Dolly Parton acquired the Lumberjack Feud and revamped the theater. Known as Dolly Parton’s Lumberjack Adventure, the new show featured more acrobatics, aerial feats, and special effects. Less than a year after the Lumberjack Adventure premiered, Dolly decided to move away from the lumberjack theme and produce a show about her family. The new attraction, Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Adventures, opened in April of 2017 and has been a huge success ever since.
New Outdoor Venue for Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud
Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud in Pigeon Forge will take place at a brand new venue. Unlike previous versions of the show, this Feud will play out in a unique outdoor space. The 350 seat grandstand will be covered and climate controlled, allowing for daily rain or shine shows through December.
The new attraction will be located at 2530 Parkway in Walden’s Landing. This popular shopping complex is also home to The Forge Cinemas, The Tomb Escape Game, Smoky Mountain Brewery, and Calhoun’s.
