Just off the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, there's a collection of buildings that takes you back to a time when families had to make what they needed. I love home-style, down-home, farmhouse, country cooking, and whatever-you-want-to-call-it-style meals. But sometimes I like to try something different – perhaps a dish from another region of the U.S., or even another region of the world. Often it’s not easy to find something like that when traveling. The flurry of the holidays is over and for most people, it’s time to get back to the routine –school, work, weekends, school, work ,weekends, etc. And while many of you may think that doesn’t leave time for a vacation, you’d be oh so wrong! There are plenty of opportunities for a quick getaway that is filled with activities.
