The space

We are so proud to announce that Pearly Gates cabin has recently been voted "Best Cabin for Couples" for 2020!

Pearly Gates is not managed by a property management company. Everything we provide is top quality, the furniture (inside and out), towels, toilet paper, linens, dishes, etc. We really do strive to make a luxury stay for our guests. To see drone footage and the area it's in, please go to YouTube and search for the title "Pearly Gates cabin". There is also a video walk-through so that you can get a better visual idea of the entire cabin! Just search for the Pearly Gates cabin channel on YouTube.

Our dedicated team (not a big cleaning company) cleans our properties. The team wipes down with disinfectant of all surfaces each clean using bleach where appropriate. Our property manager does pre and post stay inspections as well with a full set of cleaning supplies to supplement if ever needed. Hot tubs are drained, sanitized and refilled with fresh clean water for each guest.

The cabin is semi-secluded and sets on over an acre; there are no neighbors on one side, and the other side has no visible neighbors, thanks to the forest. Best of all, there are NO power lines or other cabins to obstruct your views!!!

We have very recently renovated to make a 5-star luxurious stay for you! The flooring downstairs is new. We have installed a new electric fireplace in the bedroom as well, and a mini-fridge/freezer. Best of all, we've put in a beautiful new wet bar in the bedroom. The bed linens are all brand new, quality log cabin-style quilts and pillows. Both TV's, upstairs and down, are modern, 43" and 50" flat screen HD smart TV's with cable. The kitchen is fully-equipped with all new dishes, pots & pans, and utensils, as well as a new Keurig coffee maker and new blender! We have also installed a new island in the kitchen! All decor in our Pearly Gates cabin is new Smoky Mountain log cabin-style decor. Last, but not least, we have built a new fire pit outside for those romantic nights by the fire, under the stars! Make your reservations now to experience the newness of our beautiful, well-maintained log cabin in the Smokies!

As soon as you walk into the cabin, your breath will be taken away by the magnificence of the mountain views through the huge windows in the living room, which lead to the private upper deck where you can read a book or snooze in the comfy hammock . . . or even have a romantic outdoor meal on the new bar-height, log-style pub table! We also built a new bar on the deck so you can choose where you want to sit and eat or have drinks. The sun sets on this fabulous view, too, so that's just another plus for a romantic evening outside!

The tall stacked stone fireplace sets the perfect tone for a romantic evening by the fire. It has an electric insert so that you can enjoy the romantic ambiance with the touch of a button.

The kitchen, of course, is fully-equipped with everything you'll need to prepare meals or bake cookies! We have installed a new island in the kitchen! The glass-top stove and oven are full-size. You have a dishwasher to make cleanup a snap. Keep all your perishable groceries in the full-size refrigerator. We provide coffee filters, paper towels, paired plates, trash bags, and dish soap. And don't worry . . . we also provide you with a cork screw to open that celebratory bottle of wine!

Between the kitchen and living area is a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. Hand soap, toilet paper, shampoo, and plush towels are provided for our guests.

Head down the spiral stairway to the bedroom where you'll find a NEW luxury king-size bed with new luxury linens and pillows (totally bed bug-proof), a beautiful new wet bar, and another fireplace! Keep your drinks close with the mini fridge/freezer downstairs, too! Lots of windows surround this room as well, so you won't miss a beat as the views of the Smokies are constantly changing almost every minute!

Walk out the glass door to the private lower deck, where you can soak in the gorgeous blue hot tub under the stars, especially after a strenuous day of hiking in the Smoky Mountain National Park! (Sometimes it's nice to turn off the jets in the hot tub just to listen to the surrounding forest. The hooting owls are the coolest!) We provide mood lighting on both decks, and there are also colorful LED lights inside the hot tub. There are also two rocking chairs on this deck, and a small log table. We are very particular about cleaning the hot tub between guests, so you do not have to worry about indulging in a soak!

You can listen to your own music via the cabin's wi-fi signal through the speakers provided on both decks, as well as inside.

The full bath downstairs has a large walk-in shower. Hand soap, shampoo, and plush towels are also provided in this bathroom. For your convenience, there is also a blow dryer.

A full-size washer and dryer are also on the lower level. Laundry soap provided as well!

When you're ready to venture out to see what the area has to offer, you'll be delighted to have so many unique options! The nearest entrance to the GSMNP (Great Smoky Mountain National Park) is only 5.5 miles away for just cruising through via car/bike. Explore the many hiking trails with various levels of difficulty. Check out the national park website for locations of all the waterfalls in the GSMNP (some you can even drive to if you don't want to hike). You can even go horseback riding in the Smokies!

You can shop at the famous Tanger Outlet Mall, as well as all the other shopping venues in Wears Valley, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg! You could literally shop till you drop! Don't forget the moonshine!

Other activities include skiing, fishing, white-water rafting, zip-lines, zorbs, Dollywood, Splash Country, mountain coasters, sky-lifts, and fine dining . . . just to name a few! Coupons for these activities are available almost everywhere in these areas.

That's quite a bit of adventure! But then you get to go back to the Pearly Gates and unwind and get a hot soak in . . . every day!

By the way, all roads to this cabin are paved, as well as the driveway, and the driveway is wide enough for a vehicle plus a trailer or motorcycle.

There are just a few (maybe a handful) of cabins near Pearly Gates. You can take a stroll around the beautiful neighborhood if you like! You will certainly enjoy the gorgeous mountain views all around . . . that's the joy of being at the top of the mountain! You'll discover some of the most awesome views by driving around the neighborhood.

Pearly Gates cabin is only 30 miles from the Knoxville (McGhee-Tyson) airport. There is plenty to see and do in Knoxville as well! Local shops within just a couple miles of the cabin are antique shops, general stores, and a moonshine distillery with free tasting. Pick up fresh pork rinds, kettle corn, and hot boiled peanuts from some of these shops. Elvira's is a fabulous restaurant just down the hill for fine dining in a casual atmosphere. Her pancakes are the best in the world, seriously. Dine in or call Gepetto's pizza and Italian food (located within a couple miles) and have it delivered if you want to stay in! Grandmother's Kitchen is also within a couple miles and is really one of our favorite places to eat. If you want authentic cajun food, PawPaw's is another dining option really close-by. Otherwise, head to Townsend, Pigeon Forge, or Gatlinburg for a plethora of shopping and dining options! Townsend has some great white-water rafting and river tubing outfitters.
