Welcome to Gervinwold Creekside, the perfect Gatlinburg cabin perched above a crystal-clear mountain stream flowing straight from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Step onto the deck, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and let the soothing sound of rushing water set the tone for your stay. With one bedroom and space to accommodate up to six guests, it’s ideal for a romantic weekend or a cozy family getaway. Enjoy two comfortable living areas, large windows that bring the outdoors in, a relaxing outdoor hot tub, and nearby fishing access. And when you’re ready for more excitement, downtown Gatlinburg’s shops, dining, and attractions are just minutes away.
Living Area
The open plan first level soothes you with a simple, elegant, contemporary design. A double-sided, stone fireplace is the living area’s striking centerpiece.
On one side of the fireplace, the main living area invites you to sprawl on the gorgeous cream-colored sofa or loveseat, or on the soft, plush chairs. Watch the flat-screen TV or lounge by the crackling fire. The cathedral ceiling overhead keeps the room cool. On the other side of the fireplace is a second seating area where a pair of deep, comfortable armchairs with ottomans are ready for you to stretch out and snooze in front of the second fireplace. An extra sofa creates a third seating area, too, so there’s no shortage of spots to hang out.
Kitchen and Dining Area
This might be the most charming galley kitchen you’ll ever see in a Smokies cabin. Blue cabinets echo the cabin’s pretty blue exterior. The marble-look countertops, stainless steel appliances, and slate-style floor are fresh and upscale. A convenient bar counter seats up to three guests for chats with the cook, coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine in the afternoon. Like all Colonial Properties cabin kitchens, this one is fully equipped with all the cookware, utensils, and serving and eating dishes you need to cook for a couple or a crowd.
Just steps from the kitchen and next to the open plan living area, the dining table seats six. This modern, glass-topped table with unusual sculptural chairs is an ideal place for laying out a pancake breakfast or playing games and cards.
Bedrooms
With its rich, dark wood furnishings and pale blue walls, the main bedroom is your private getaway. The queen bed is topped with a cloud of fluffy bedding. By night, enjoy the bedroom’s big flat-screen TV, and in the morning get ready in the roomy bathroom with double sinks so you and your sweetheart don’t get in each other’s way!
A second sleeping area is in the loft. A romantic, wrought iron queen bed is next to a private seating area with a TV and plush armchair. The second full bathroom features a striking, blue glass “vessel” sink that’s both useful and beautiful.
A queen-sized, pull-out sleeper sofa provides even more space for everyone to get a good night’s sleep.
Outdoor Space
The large front deck sports a hot tub where you can soak while you listen to the stream rushing past you, yards away. A big couch makes the deck like an outdoor living room where you can read, rest and drink in the clean mountain air. Fire up the gas grill and toss on shrimp, steak, or chicken, then sit at the table for a picnic. Later, bring home local moonshine and drink it under the stars. Try Moon Pie flavored moonshine to wash down a real Moon Pie snack cake--it’s a completely Tennessee treat.
